Salvaged Creations Wales, I-Make, C.I.C. is a community interest company, based in Argoed, Blackwood Gwent. We work with the local community in a variety of ways, to promote the wellbeing of and social conectedness between community members, helping to reduce antisocial behaviour. We're proud to offer an inclusive and diverse setting incorporating attendees of various backgrounds. Our group is made up of various volunteers who work incredibly hard to impact upon children and young people's lives in our local area. We also offer adult woodworking groups. We have 4 core areas to our work. Please see below.

02

Youth group

We run a youth group, for ages 3 up to 17 years. Under 8's must be accompanied by an adult. This is based as Markham Congregational Church, £1 entry , which includes squash and access to all our arts/crafts and sensory play activities.

03

Woodworking groups

We run woodworking groups, using recyclable materials, with the aim of reducing landfill waste. We offer these to both adults and children, whereby attendees have the opportunity to use tools. We further offer woodworking kits, of which can be created at home for those of whom are house-bound. Prices and locations for this vary, however are based within Caerphilly Borough.

04

Playdays

We offer outdoor, 'hands-on fun' playdays, whereby children are provided with the oportunity to engage in play activities, in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and children's rights to play. We advocate for children's right to free play and promote the benefits of this. Locations vary and prices are minimal or donation based.

Salvaged Creations Wales, I-Make, C.I.C. are also a community litter picking hub. We often organise litter picking sessions for the community to join in with. People can loan the equipment too!

Our history

We started off as a small craft business making bespoke pieces from recycled and reclaimed materials. Over time we started to take hands on crafts with us to the fairs we attended and from there developed a more interactive, community focus.
Below are some of the items we have made all from reclaimed and salvaged materials. This is still something we do, alongside our community work. Please see our 'items for sale' page.
